[ParoVadius (2002 Version)]

Whoaaaaa..............................

Yes!! Ok... first off.. let me say that i'm beginning to type this as the movie is loading. While that's happening, let me tell you something real quick. First of all, i just watched After ParoVadius, and just finished reviewing that. Now, you'll see that I raved about it, and said that that movie was much like what i'm attempting to do with my own Flash films coming soon. But I did say that the one thing i didn't like about it was the shit humor, and it's preverseness. Having said that, I see now that THIS movie came first and that you actually did a good clean movie. This is even better than I have could have hoped for.

So, this means that while this currently loads, I cannot wait to see it. *excited while i wait for the movie* ...... Quick side note: I saw the people trashing your After ParoVadius film. They are much like the same shitheads that trashed MY submission to Newgrounds a few weeks back. The same kind of retard 12 year olds that seem to populate and spawn on NG like some kinda retarded, beligerent walking dicks in human form. ;) *waits more for the film*

...ok.. i just watched it. You are god. I bow before you. This is everything I always wanted to make in a movie, myself. I honestly could not...stop...laughing!

Please note that I am about to give you the highest score i've ever given a movie. Becuase this is that damn good. You are freaking god man. FIRST PERSON EVER TO GET A TEN FROM ME! Even "Decline Of Video Gaming 2" only got an 8 from me. And aside that, i havn't given anything else higher than 6 or 7 i believe.

I'm glad you liked ParoVadius. I don't know what else to say. Because I am teh pooped from tonite's Manhattan excursion...but YES!!! I'm glad you liked it! I wish you great luck in your own works, and in Kendo Rage I could see what you mean when you say AfterParo & Paro are similiar to the kind of movies you wanna create. I dunno, Kendo just seems to have that...'spirit' about it. Keep me posted on your progress, ey?? & good luck with everything.

Oh... My.... GOD!!!

I love this movie.

This is very much the style that I am trying to accomplish with my own sprite films.

Not only that, but i LOVE parodus. My first thoughts were OMG! A movie of Parodus?! Then I watched it and was, for the most part pretty wowed by it. It's a bit short though, and a little more preverse than is my liking, but I don't really care, becuase i'm not offended whatsoever. I can take that kinda stuff even though shit humor isn't quite my thing.

Again, this is the kind of look and style i'm going for in my movies, and you have inspired me a bit more even. So thank you. Really.. A personal thank you from me to you for keeping me from giving up on my own films. My flash production company (which means me, myself :p ) is called KarmaX Productions if you care, btw. I'm surrently working on making Flash films of classic games that are mostly anime-like or not well known, and don't have a zillion flash movies out about them (like the 37 jillion Mario movies on NG)

Also, i have to add that the drawn pictures of the two Parodus girls at the end was neat as well. Where did you get those?! From a Parodus japanese manual or something? They kick ass, and they are pretty hot. ;)

Anyway, my point is.. Keep up the good work making movies like these, and If you want, keep an eye out for my films when the good ones start showing up. (The Kendo Rage movie i have submitted on NG is not that great and is meant as more of a preview of better movies to come.. if you care. ;) )

A Googie search unearthed the pic pretty easily. My keywords were Akane and Hikaru, I think. Not sure where the illust is from originally. I have the Parodius Deluxe Pack and Sexy Paro, so I know it's not from there.

ummmmm... HEY!!!

Ok, yeah yeah nice movie and all.. actually fantastic work.. really good ANIMATING just one HUGE, GLARING, HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE PROBLEM....

PUT A DAMN PRELOADER ON THIS!!! Really.. why does the movie just start when it's not even all loaded. That's lame. You guys made a kickass movie, but you didn't even bother with a pre-loader?! wtf?! Preloaders ARE important for a movie to load properly you know.. ¬_¬ This is really damn annoying that this loads incorrectly. Makes me not want to finish watching it when it keeps freezing, loading, and playing, freezing, loading and playing. And that's a shame cause this is a brilliant movie. God.. it just plays so awful this way. Not everyone of us have Broadband. In fact, a good 60% of the internet population still uses dial-up.

SO.. what the hell?! Make a preloader...... now. Anyway, fantastic movie. if it LOADED properly, i'm sure i'd love it more. ¬_¬

[8-bit Theater 4]

Well, I gotta say.. good job. I've read 8-bit theater a few times in my day... I do remember these comics that this is based on as well...

Having gotten that out of the way, let me adress some things. Vocie acting isn't THAT bad.. stop ragging on it, everybody. geez. At least it's IN there, and not just all only text like many other movies. Plus, it's not that bad either. Many people keep bitching about Black Mage. Ok, I don't really think he's that good either, and i can tell that you just sped up to dialouge clips for him. But he's not HORRIBLE. But maybe you should think about re-casting yet again. Just a thought.
Also, the movie was kinda boring... is that the fault of you guys? Actually no. You did your best to translate the original comic. The fault for that is, i think, in the writing of Brain Clevinger at the time. These scenes look boring only becuase at this point in the comic 8-Bit Theater was stale and boring. Brain packed everything with thousands of words when he couldn't be arsed to be funny.. it soon kinda found it's way out of that and has gotten better most of the time, but around this point 8-Bit Theater was REALLY dragging it's feet. So if the movie seems boring that's not that fault of TLF. Well, the final blooper being so damn boring IS, but that's the only original boring part of it. ehe ^_^;;

Anyway, stop claimng it isn't funny people.. it's not TLF's fault. Well, the movie was mediorce, but it was enjoyable. Trying to pack in a crapload of boring and endless dialouge like Brian normally writes is a tough job, but at least you guys did it with style, and I commend you for that. Hopefully, you guys will keep on this project well after you reach the part where the comic started getting funny again. Then it'll no doubt rule if you guys keep improving with Flash at the rate that you are... although maybe in the future you should ask Brian's permission to snip some lines of his dialouge if it interferes with the pacing of the movie from now on. Remember.. when translating a comic to a movie, pacing and getting to the point is the key, not always in doing a completly literal translation. Doing it that way tends to make it drag.

Congradulations.. This deserves much praise. Very very good work... Really.. Good choice of music, TIGHT sincornization with the music, the only segment i felt was slightly lacking was the 3rd segment, but the 4th one more than makes up for it.

Not only that, but since i was already REALLY digging this whole movie, i'm an anime fan so I REALLY appreciated the giant robot shtick. heh heh. That was awsome, all the way through.

It's animators like the 5 of you that Newgrounds needs. I tip my hat to you guys.

First off.. the guy who reviewed this is fucking stupid. I'm sick of dumb ass little kids who say things suck just becuase something happened to offend their tiny, delicate little mind that happened in the cartoon. Newgrounds seems to overflow with immature, retard 12 year olds, dosn't it?
Anyway... the movie. Techincally, it was great. Nice artwork, nice timing, nice humor, and a solid concept. Very good. It did make me laugh and it's also humouros becuase it's true. I'll be getting broadband soon.. and i hope I don't turn out like that.

On the techincal side of things, it was good, on the humor side of things, it was excellent. Good job.

Alright man.. here goes. First I see that you say shitty things to people JUST cause they don't like your movie. Well, most of them just say "this sucks" and nothing else. I know how irratating that is, but really... This is not very good at all. Just so you can't cuss me out, allow me to break it down for you in an intellegent manner.

Your concept is surprisingly unfunny. One movie, a peguin shoots a guy in a bar. There's no point. 2nd movie... Peguins having sex. Sorta. In the dark. Cheap, and not good.. also.. not funny. The only good thing about this is that you mamaged to follow the rules of the competetion. But underdog of the week?? They'll make anything in that position these days, won't they? Your art is terrible. You just made bad shapes in Flash and strung them together in a very cheap and badly animated way. This had no substance, no style, and you didn't seem to put much work in this at all. Bitch me out like everyone else with your vauge, childish insults if you want.. you won't hurt my feelings. But this IS a peice of crap. Spend more than a half hour on flash, use real artwork... And make something enjoyable that people will want to see, and not just some thing that you think is decent when you didn't put any real work or too much thought into it. Really.. this DOES suck, and you know it does. Being so insulting indiscrimnatly to everyone who dosn't like this crap, shows your immaturity and your insecurity.. becuase you know this sucks.

Also, people leave stupid reviews, I leave stupid answers. It's a give and take situation, or something. These cartoons aren't supposed to be professional, they're supposed to be a bit stupid, a bit of a laugh, go to a professional site if you're expecting professionalism. Amateurs is what NG is all about, and that's why I <3 it.

I suddenly realized after having sat here and watching 5.. count them.. 5 brand new Negrounds submission, i feel like one of the following...

A. Spontniously exploding
B. Clawing my eyes out
C. Going to the liqour store down the street and drinking until these submissions look good in retrospect or
D. Taking a long hard look at my choice of internet activities.

Anyway, now that i've got that out of my system, this movie is er.... well, it was ridiculous. It was actually funny. The sad thing is, i don't think you were TRYING to be funny.
