OMG I JERKED OFF TO THIS.

...not really.

It was ok. I mean, I liked it, and I give it props for daring to NOT be Anti-Pokemon. Pokemon isn't my favorite thing in the world, either but it's an ok anime. Not as bad as people make it out to be, anyway.

I seriously think that people hate on Pokemon just so they can pretend to be cool when they aren't. It's called following a mindless trend and scoring points with other people who think they are cool becuase they shoot Pikachu in the face.

Whatever. It's refreshing to see a Pokemon flash that is a tribute of sorts rather than a mindless hate trend. So, I gave it all 10's.

Plus, I like that song, and there were some well animated bits with Pikachu, too.

Well, this is very very good. Very good indeed.

Oh, and by the way, will you morons knock it off about the supposed "piracy"? Christ, do you morons even know the definition of piracy? Becuase I don't think you do.

Piracy is the actual rom code. This game does NOT contain that. So shut up about piracy, and stop trying to sound jealous of guy who made this wonderful flash.

All it contains is the mountains of hard, hard work that this guy put into long hours of programming the game to function exactly like the physics of Super Mario Bros. Meaning... this is all hard work put into this flash by the flash maker HIMSELF, and nobody else. Not even Nintendo. Got it?

Now as for the sprites and sound.... There are at least 83 kajillion "mario sprite parodies" on Newgrounds that use the same sprites and sounds. Guess how many of them ever got "sued"? That's right, none. Zip. Nada. Zilch.

So, at the very least you people can... A. Stop screaming "piracy" like a bunch of dimwitted, trained circus seals when you have no idea what the definition of the word actually IS, and... B. Stop trying to sound extremly jealous that you can't make a flash like this, and therefore try to mark it down for supposed "piracy" that is non-existant.

I for one, understand exactly what this is. And it's really awesome. I'm working for all the awards in this game, and it's fun. it shoots the replay value of level 1-1 right up the roof, actually.

So, yeah... even if these comments are being ruined by fools who don't even know what piracy actually is, and wrongfully claiming this to be "piracy" for some reason (probably becuase they flunked out of kindergarden, who knows), this is amazingly well put together.

This is the kind of great work i'd expect to be put on the front page, but sadly it probably won't be. But. it's still great, anyway.

It was decent, I guess. Not that great, but not poor, either.

Although there were SO many parts where it just seemed lazy. The backgrounds seem to be simply ripped from a SMW guide book or something. They are the same levels but you can't interact with ANYTHING. No pipes to go down, no areas to access. You can't even hit the blocks.

The game is also ridiculously ridiculously EASY. Only three short levels of enemies that offer little to no resistance (Besides Koopas that shoot in level three, but they are also incredibly easy to defeat as their shots are few and rarely affect you.)

The game offers practically no challenge and is over in about 3 minutes. The lowest my health meter went down at any time was down to about 75%. There's no difficulty and no balance to the gameplay.

No offence, but it's a little hard to believe this was worked on for 5 months, becuase it looks like nearly 1 month was put into it off and on, and then the project got boring so you quit after three levels. That's what it seems like.

The music was pretty good, and probably the one area where it looks like attention was put into the game (Besides Mario jumping and giving the later enemies in the 3rd level some kind of AI to their shooting patterns)

If there's one reason to play this game, it's to listen to the good music, and probably shoot a koopa or two if you're into that. Otherwsie, there's practically no real gameplay and it's over in about 2 or 3 minutes at the most. Then... it aburptly ends.

No real exploration.. you just move forward, shoot things that offer hardly any resistance, and that's it. If anyone ever dies (Or even gets their health down to 60%) then that person must be a 4 year old who didn't read the instructions, pretty much. It's the only way to lose this "game"

For a sequel.. especially an anticipated sequel, I would hope that the game would overall be better than this. MUCH MUCH MUCH better than this. I don't think it's exactly "poor" so I can't just write it off becuase that would be just insulting. There was some work put into this, that I can see. There just didn't seem to be very much of it.

If there's a third game sometime, I hope it's probably a helluva lot better than this. No offence, just calling it how I see it. Later.

Holy crap....

"Terrible" doesn't even begin to describe this. This reminds me of my first shitty movie I made years ago. Only this is actually less deserving of the front page, and a lot more immature, with about 400% more homosexual overtones and random swearing with bad text, and hardly any audio stretching on for 16 pretentiously immature eye clawlingly irritating minutes.

My first movie may have sucked, but it didn't suck nearly as bad as this. There's no fucking justice, anymore. I swear to god.

Oh well.. at least I greatly improved my flash skills and moved on from Newgrounds, and found better success, elsewhere. I guess maybe there is some justice. Heh.

Well, aside from here, that is.

Static background all the way, though? Check.
A complete inability to use the shape tools to make halfway decent word balloons, with badly written text? Check.
Cheaply tweened sprite gifs that don't correspond with anything else? Check.
Virtual lack of decent sound, which happens to be VERY loud and abrasive to the ears? Check.

This is almost is bad as MY first movie. With one notable exception.

I actually used music from the actual game I was doing a parody of, and the best damn group in the world, KMFDM and not that gay Naruto shit.

My first movie that I submitted here before I improved my skills, did actual animation and stopped submitting here was really bad, but this is worse.

My advice? Either don't submit here, improve your skills tenfold, submit somewhere else with lower standards, or you'll get eaten alive my more people than just me.

I'm not trying to be a prick, i'm telling you this for your own good. Escape while you can. These complete idiots here at Newgrounds will kill you. Or at least spend a lot more time improvimg, first. Becuase these bunch of retarded savagaes will eat you for breakfast.

Good animation, looks like you spent some time on it. Even if it is another random, sprite music video among many.

Awful music, though. Billy Talent had one good song, and that was the demo before getting signed. Billy Talent sucks dick, now.

So um. I'm half and half conflicted on this. Animation is great, that would make my score as a 9. The awful music takes 3 points off. And the fact that it's a pretty unoriginal concept, being that it's another sprite music video along thousands takes 1 point off. That leaves 5.

So, I give this 5 out of 10. That puts it as being half and lahf, and average.

What the hell? I've never seen jokes like that before and you have an excellent grasp on comedy and what is funny. But eh. There are always quite a bit of Newgrounds reviewers who were dropped on their heads as kids. I dunno why but so many retards frequent this site. *shrug*

Anyway, at least there are people like me with an eye for quailty and an appreciation of good old hilarious stuff. Like the stuff you make.

What I liked about this is that you are a really good sprite animator and a really good animator in general, as the cuts to real animation is priceless, and really made thigns a hell of a lot funnier.

You could do a whole series of new series with other characters and sequels too. You're talented enough and funny enough to pull it off.

Excellent work and congradulations on Front Page. Somethign that actually DESERVES Front Page got it. That's something that hasn't happened in quite a while.

Kick ass. Keep up the kickass work, and i'll keep watching 'em. Becuase I need GOOD flash to watch, and you sir, make good, entertaining, funny flash animations.
